God and the Virgins 2

Since I wrote my original post reflecting on Ben Anthony’s UK Channel 4 documentary on The End of the World Cult and its leader, Michael Travesser, a lot has been happening. Michael himself has been responding to criticisms, as have several cult members, and at least one ex-member.

Why not revisit the original post, read the debate, and leave your views if you have time.

    Hi Atthinkingman,
    For the past week, your said post, and a few other related forums have kept me fascinated. It’s really interesting to watch how this debate has been going on. I find it really disappointing to see that much of the debate has ended up in attacks etc. From a somewhat religious perspective, and as a christian, I find it even more disappointing how people from both sides have used the holy bible as their weapon in what has unfortunately turned into a war of words. Personally, I don’t believe that Wayne Bent is the messiah. In my perspective, there has only been one messiah, and that was Jesus. That is what my faith is based upon. Anyways, I just thought I should show you some support, thanks for an eye opening read!

    Hi athinkingman.

    Well there is much thinking going on within your original post.

    Much like a heated political debate. The attacks are back and forth and a few on the fence.

    I personally believe in Jesus Christ in Heaven. I don’t believe that Wayne Bent is any different from any one else here on earth. He, like so many others, loves attention and power. Unfortunately he seeks that attention in the name of the Lord our God. And he has found a few people to listen to his every word and believe what he says.

    There will many more like him that will decide they are Jesus too. As there has been many before him.

    Thank you athinkingman for sharing and letting others share their thoughts.

    Only God can tell you what to believe, not the Bible.
    Certainly not a Priest, neither any one else.

    The Farisees also attacked Jesus Christ with the writing of the Torah, the Old Testament. So if you know the content of the New Testament, the Gospel, the honest conclusion would be, that Michael Travesser is Christs, because he is also attacked by Clergy men.

    Actually Jesus Christ was killed by Roman Soldiers, that gambled about his clothing. They must have been gay, or was it Guy?
    Remember?
