The triumph of innocence, humility, and beauty over cynicism, arrogance, and tripe made me cry.
Ok, I’m just a big softy!

Yeah, you and me both. I ran across this a couple of months ago.
Paul has now made quite a success of himself. Nice guys sometimes do win.
I take it you must have watched the programme about him this afternoon. I nearly did, but then I watched virtually every performance of him in this show.
I willed him to win and was so pleased when he did, we voted and voted. I watched him again at the Royal Variety Performance. An astonshing life from rags to riches, and I don’t mean in a financial sense either.
Yeah, nice guys should win and win well. I think if I remember, he was a victim of bullying and subsequent low self-esteem. His wife should be so proud, I would be.
Well done Paul and the success I don’t think will go to your head.
You’re not a softy athinkingman and so what if you are. I had a tear or two as well for him.
I cried the first time I saw him and well, I cried again now. Breathtaking and joyful.
Well, I had never seen him before (I don’t watch TV much) - and I must be a big softie too cos I dripped salt onto my keyboard. Just watching the judges’ faces change as he sang was wonderful.
I erased my tears. I was totally blown away. Thanks for sharing.
